Founded in 2013 by Warren Rutanga, Kikooko Africa Safaris grew from a profound desire to share Uganda's remarkable treasures with international travelers. The name "Kikooko" (pronounced "chick-oh-ko") means "animal" in Rukiga, the language of the Bakiga people who inhabit Uganda's stunning highlands.
